Posted about 7 years ago by Sequoyah Brown

Our friends at the GNA shared the following good news with us:

GNA is happy to report that on today the Nurse Licensure Compact Bill (SB 166) was accepted, by the House of Representatives, as an amendment to the “Recognition of Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact” Bill (SB 109) SB 109 was then passed by the full House of Representatives.

This means that The Nurse Licensure Compact has cleared the last legislative hurdle for the 2017 Legislative Session.

A special thank you to RN Legislator, Jodi Lott, for introducing the amendment and to the Georgia House of Representatives for their leadership.

This, my fellow nursing colleagues, is certainly cause for celebration ! Thank you for calling, emailing , tweeting , and meeting with your local legislators to make this a reality for us all! You ROCK GAOHN!!!
