Affiliate/Retiree Award

GAOHN this is your opportunity to recognize the one affiliate member who supports our organization and our specialty or the one retiree who has continued to volunteer their time and energy to promote occupational health. The Nancy Bunton/Yvonne Jackson Affiliate-Retiree Recognition Award is to recognize Affiliate and Retiree members who continue to encourage involvement in GAOHN. The member goes above and beyond to promote the field of Occupational Health. This award is named in honor of two GAOHN retirees who over their career have held multiple leadership positions at the local, state and national level and even after retirement, continue to participate, support and encourage others in Occupational Health

Hughston Award

GAOHN it is time to nominate your colleagues for the Dr. Jack Hughston Nursing Humanitarian Award.  Please see the criteria below and send your nominations to Toni Kerney at gaohn.board@yahoo.com   by October 20, 2022.  

This award recognizes and honors the individual who advances human rights and reinforces the dignity and worth of all human beings. The recipient has practiced and promoted compassion through honest, truthfulness, responsibility, and compassion and is named in the honor of Dr. Jack Hughston, founder of the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. This award was established in 2010. Financial support for the award comes from The Hughston Clinic  

Leadership Award

GAOHN it is time to nominate your colleagues for the Bruce Shaw Medique Leadership Award.  Please see the criteria below and send your nominations to Toni Kerney at gaohn.board@yahoo.com   by October 20, 2022.    

Participating state associations will select one outstanding Occupational Health Nurse member, who has exhibited leadership in participation in the association and in professional activities. A certificate will be presented to the outstanding leader. An educational award will be provided by Medique to the state association in the name of the leader nurse.

GAOHN Member of the Year

This award recognizes and honors an active member of GAOHN that has gone above and beyond the call of duty. The recipient has shown a commitment to the workplace and community. Promote the organization through service and leadership.
