Posted about 6 years ago by Sequoyah Brown

Each of you know that one occupational health nurse who exemplifies the “best of the best” nursing has to offer by going above and beyond the call of duty, unwavering commitment to the workplace and community and who is always promoting occupational health nursing through service and leadership. In October at the GAOHN Annual Conference, give us an opportunity to recognize that OHN by nominating him or her for the Nurse of the Year Award. The criteria for this award are as follows:

  • Active member of the Georgia Association of Occupational Health Nurses
  • Actively serves on GAOHN committees; willing to do more than his/her share
  • Continuously exhibits high standards of care for groups and individuals in the community and

               workplace

Please read the words of Mary Potts, the 2017 GAOHN Nurse of the Year, as to what it meant to be recognized by her peers with this award.

“Receiving the Nurse of the Year Award was an incredible honor!   It definitely validates all of the work that I have done in Occupational Health over the last 30 years. To be recognized by your peers is the ultimate compliment and acknowledgement.”

Please send your nominations for GAOHN Nurse of the Year to Debbie Dicken at ddicken@southernco.com by August 16, 2019.
