BRUCE SHAW MEDIQUE LEADERSHIP AWARD

 

For years, Medique has been an avid supporter of Occupational Health Nursing and many of our members and fellow occupational health nurses in state associations have been honored with this leadership award. GAOHN member, Sallie Taylor was the 2017award recipient. According to Sallie,

 

"When I received the Medique Bruce Shaw Leadership Award from my peers I gained confidence. Confidence to challenge myself with motivating and encouraging those new to the organization, to give back the advice and mentorship provided me and to ensure that GAOHN would continue to be a community of dynamic and inspirational individuals."

 

Which one of your GAOHN colleagues do you think is the foremost leader in the association? The OHN known for encouraging the development of leadership skills of the membership and increasing awareness of the role of the occupational health nurse to employers and the community? The Award

Participating state associations will select one outstanding Occupational Health Nurse member, who has exhibited leadership in participation in the association and in professional activities. A certificate will be presented to the outstanding leader. An educational award will be provided by Medique to the state association in the name of the leader nurse.

 

Criteria

  • Be an active member of the Georgia Association of Occupational Health Nurses
  • To recognize leadership of Occupational Health Nurses at a state level.
  • To encourage development of leadership skills by members of your association.
  • To increase awareness of the role of the Occupational Health Nurse to both employers and the community.
  • To assist the educational efforts of the state association through a Medique award.
