GAOHN September Spotlight: Claudia Miller

Get to know Claudia Miller in her own words...

Claudia Miller, just a small rural town girl whose true love of healing animals, friends and family led me to pursue my nursing degree after first obtaining my interior design degree from FSU.  The past twenty years have been spent serving as a senior occupational health nurse.  I first worked in a larger tri-state trauma hospital in the ICU and OR, then slowed down the pace working for my home town hospital as charge nurse and ER nurse.  I have also had the privilege of work as a home health visiting nurse.  I live with my youngest son and husband in Donalsonville, GA on the family farm.  We raise cows and sheep.  My motto, “Your health, safety and wellness is My Concern” and I find with age you do not slow down but instead get busier.  At sixty-two years of age I currently am serving as the GA OHN secretary.  Nursing has been the best thing I did in my life.
