FOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH / SAFETY / INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE  PROVIDERS  – NIOSH Spirometry and CAOHC Occupational Hearing Conservation Classes.

Attached please find information regarding OMI’s NIOSH and CAOHC approved courses which are coming to Jacksonville April 30 – May 4, 2018.

Successful completion of a course will provide a five year Nationally Recognized Certification/Training. 

  • NIOSH Full course: April 30-May 1– (8am to 5pm both days)
  • NIOSH Refresher course: May 2 - (8am to 5pm)
  • CAOHC Full course: May 2-4  – (8am to 5pm on May 2 & 3. 8am to 12pm on May 4)
  • CAOHC Recert course: May 3  – (8am to 5pm)

REGARDING SILICA TESTING – Only NIOSH trained technicians with an up-to-date certificate can perform spirometry testing for silica dust. Each person administering spirometry examinations must successfully complete a NIOSH Approved Spirometry Training Course and maintain a valid certificate. Millions of workers are exposed to respirable crystalline silica in the United States. OMI’s NIOSH approved spirometry course will provide the training needed to comply with this new OSHA requirement.
